Sarah Cayer joined Hadsell Stormer Renick & Dai in November 2022. She specializes in employment law and class action litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Cayer was a Homelessness Prevention Fellow and staff attorney with Inner City Law Center, a Skid Row-based legal services organization. Ms. Cayer represented tenants in eviction proceedings and appeals. She has won two trials and numerous dispositive motions on behalf of tenants being wrongfully evicted. Ms. Cayer also worked with community organizers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to help tenants with rental debt stay in their homes and apply for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program.
While in law school, Ms. Cayer completed internships with a Boston-based legal nonprofit aimed at improving access to comprehensive health coverage in Massachusetts, the National Consumer Law Center, and the National Center for Law and Economic Justice. She completed clinics at the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation, and the WilmerHale Legal Services Center. Ms. Cayer also organized events and lectures related to sexual violence and harassment in academic settings. Additionally, she served as an Articles Editor on the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review. Ms. Cayer received a B.A. with high honors from Oberlin College in 2015.
