Denise Ballesteros joined Hadsell Stormer Renick & Dai LLP in 2018. She represents members of UNITE HERE Local 11 in immigration matters, including before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the National Visa Center.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ballesteros worked at Immigrant Defenders Law Center, a nonprofit organization serving unaccompanied minors and mentally incompetent adults. She represented unaccompanied minors before USCIS, immigration court, and state court proceedings.
Ms. Ballesteros graduated from Stanford Law School with Pro Bono Distinction. While in law school, she was an editor of the Stanford Journal of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties and co-chair of the Stanford Latino Law Students Association. She also coordinated the Immigration Pro Bono Project, where she volunteered with Community Legal Services of East Palo Alto's immigration practice to provide legal services to undocumented immigrants.
