Ms. Shanbhag’s areas of practice are civil rights, employment, and international human rights law. She joined the firm after clerking for the Honorable John E. Dowdell of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma. Before her clerkship, Ms. Shanbhag completed a fellowship with the ACLU of Southern California, where she focused on education equity, juvenile justice, and police practices issues.

Ms. Shanbhag holds a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine School of Law. While in law school, she served as the Chapter Director for the International Refugee Assistant Project and was a member of the International Justice Clinic.

Ms. Shanbhag was a summer law clerk at HSR after her second year of law school, and is excited to be back as an associate.
